Hi, it's me - Nele.
Director & Photographer.

There are many places I call home. Growing up in the countryside I spent my childhood in Roes. Later on I spent most of my time in Münstermaifeld where I graduated from high school in 2014. Planning on one day becoming a doctor, I then moved to Koblenz to work as a nurse but felt like a job that wouldn't allow me to be creative wouldn't do me justice. That's why I decided to take a completely different direction and, with the beginning of my studies in film and television in 2020, moved to Cologne to become a director.

I live for interesting encounters and good conversations. For me, that's what travelling to a different country is about. Working as a nursing volunteer in Ghana was definitely a highlight, but spending my semester abroad in Perth in 2022 has been a great experience as well.
I firmly believe that all of these influences allow me to tell better stories and become better at telling stories.

As movies with a certain depth excite me most, I like to put my focus on socio-political issues, and films with images serving the story, rather than a story only constructed around exciting visuals. That's why for me, too, the book always comes first, the visuals second.
